In light of the recent catastrophic fires in the LA area, my heart goes out to all who have been affected. Many of you, my friends and clients have suffered unimaginable loss, including your homes and the precious memories they held.
I've put together a list of resources for victims who need help and for those of us who want to find ways we can help - the link is below.
As a photographer, I deeply empathize with the loss of photographs—those irreplaceable glimpses into our past. I want to let you know that I have backups of nearly all the work I’ve created for my clients.
Below is a photograph of a client gallery wall of 17 years of family images. This client's home burned to the ground, and though she was able to evacuate with the photo albums we've created together, she is heartbroken over the loss of this wall. In her words "not bringing that wall with me is one of my greatest regrets. It brought me so much joy every day, multiple times a day."
If you've lost photos in the fires, please feel free to reach out when you're ready. I'm here to help you restore those memories.
Additionally, as a certified photo manager, I can assist with organizing digital images, finding photos for insurance purposes, or even starting the process of rebuilding your photo walls and albums when the time comes. My goal is to offer support and to be a resource during this challenging time. I am also working with my vendors to see if we can offer free or discounted replacements, or to offer help to anyone who would like to restore photos or create albums, even if we haven't worked together before.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out. My thoughts are with you all.
